Relations between Serbia and Azerbaijan are at a high level.
elchi reports that this was stated by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Dušan Kozarev, at the IV International Conference within the framework of the Baku Dialogue on Missing Persons.
Touching upon the relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia, he thanked Azerbaijan for its position on protecting Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Kozarev emphasized that the relations between the two countries and peoples are at a high level.
“We believe that our experience in resolving the issue of missing persons can be significant for other regions affected by conflicts,” he added.
Kozarev, stating that Serbia is ready to share its experience in cooperation between relevant bodies in forensic medicine, investigation of human remains, and mass and secret graves, noted the importance of cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Commission on Missing Persons, the United Nations Development Programme, and other international partners.
He stressed that humanitarian principles, professional expertise, and sustained international cooperation can yield concrete results even in the most complex post-conflict situations.
“Clarifying the fate of missing persons is an important humanitarian obligation, a significant contribution to building trust, reconciliation, and lasting peace,” said the Serbian official.
